If you have weak branches threatening your home, garage or car, tree cabling or bracing can prevent sudden branch or tree failure.  It’s also possible to fix a branch that has been broken.

Cabling and bracing date back from when arborists were known as tree surgeons. while some of the practices such as painting over wounds are now considered archaic, cabling and bracing are still an effective way to help tree heal or to protect structure from a hazard tree.

Tree cabling and bracing can support a weak crotch if a mature tree has two or more leads or trunks.

We charge by the hour for this service. Cabling and bracing involves installing hardware into the target trees. Some types of cabling involves using more flexible synthetic cables to allow a greater range of movement. This can be beneficial because the tree will grow supplemental wood to support the broken crotch point. However, a static bracing will be sturdier and are usually for trees too heavy to be supported by dynamic cables.

Cabling and bracing is a service done by experienced arborists. If the bracing pattern is not correct it can weaken the integrity of the tree.
