Over thirty-four years of experience in management of Rocky Mountain Horticulture and Arboriculture, including municipal, commercial contract and private tree care; development review; maintenance plans and recommendations; public and professional education programs; professional training; and arboricultural consulting. Areas of practice include:
Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design:
Inspect existing landscape materials, providing recommendations for renovation, and new species selection for compatible personal and home safety.
Defective Tree Management:
Inspection of large trees for defects, providing recommendations for remedial actions and management plans for long range maintenance and new species selection.
Development Plan Review:
Working knowledge of local landscape codes, regulations and plant materials for both residential and commercial developments.
Insect & Disease Diagnosis:
Inspection, identification and monitoring of current plant pests attacking our landscapes and identifying future trends and problems. Includes Insect, Disease and Environmental concerns.
Landscape Appraisals:
Inspection and examination of landscape plants and preparation of written reports for determining the estimated value of plants. Pre-incident reports are useful for Tree Preservation, Pre-Construction, Insurance, Estate and Personal information. Post- incident reports are useful following a casualty such as an Arson, Automobile Accident, Environmental Damage, Fire, Property Condemnation, Lightning, Trespass and Vandalism.
Plant Health Care:
Review of Landscape Plants for current property owners, and owners. Inspection, identification and analysis of woody plants, pest trends, maintenance recommendations and resources, allowing for prioritization and budgeting of plant maintenance needs.
Tree Inventory and Analysis:
Identification and survey of trees in existing landscapes including species identification, height and caliper measurements, general condition and maintenance recommendations
Tree Preservation and Retention and Mitigation:
Plant inspection, identification; estimation of construction impact and details for protection; and long range maintenance recommendations in accordance with local landscape regulations.
Urban Landscape Fire Prevention
Inventory and Analysis of existing landscape materials, providing recommendations for remedial actions and new species selection for fire-wise home safety.
